About the festival
Where music meets visual art
The idea for the festival was born in 2022, at a time when the music scene was scarred by the pandemic. The festival connects music with visual art in the atmospheric spaces of a Baroque fortress. Bastion IV is home to the artists of the Umělecká kolonie, whose work meets live music at the festival.

Bastion IV Josefov
Bastion IV is part of the Josefov fortification system, one of Europe’s most significant 18th-century fortresses. Today it houses the Umělecká kolonie Bastion IV — a community of artists, studios and galleries that hosts our festival.
